Management Consultations

In these days it is very important for management to have sound wisdom and advice regarding the health and wellness of the workplace culture. Managers can find themselves in a role which challenges them, dealing with hostile employees, situations that have blurred the boundaries, or compromised their staff ethically. How does management deal with downsizing, potential layoffs, disciplining staff and employees in a way that is fair, builds trust, and protects all involved? During the last major recession in 2009, a major bank chain used my services to provide weekly support to their wealth management team charged with  the difficult tasks of managing the portfolios and dealing with clients who had lost everything. All this was done via telephone conference with managers all over the country. Whether it is the suicide of an employee, market crash, major downsizing, tension in the workplace, etc. I can help you clarify those crucial first steps in calming the corporate waters.

Individual Employee Counseling

Life can be challenging for all of us. But for some, the stress of dealing with chronic illness, divorce, parenting, separation, job insecurity, legal difficulties, grief and loss, traumatic events like car accidents and injuries, and dealing with difficult relationships, elderly parents and special needs children--all of this can be overwhelming for those trying to work and deal with those issues at home.

Counseling is often desperately needed, but due to expense or lack of insurance, difficult to access.

Many employees do not have health benefits, particularly those working on a contract basis, part-time, or their companies do not have EAP programs, or insurance that offers counseling as an option.

Even with insurance, co-pays can still be high. Either the counselors charge exorbitant fees, are not skilled clinicians, are not a "good fit", and/or are often so booked up that it is weeks before your employee can get the help he or she needs. The assigned counselor's location may be too far. Sometimes the time off from work is simply not an option either.

There is a solution. If you are an employer you can make a difference by reaching out and arranging for an employee to counsel with me via FaceTime, telephone call, or Skype. Or an individual can be private pay. The sessions are affordable ($1.00 per minute) and just as effective as an office visit. I invoice your company once the call is completed. Individuals can pay via Paypal or Venmo. All calls are confidential and professional. I do offer a block of counseling sessions at a reduced rate. If there is a verifiable need then you are certainly welcome to ask for one free consultation.
