Recently my husband and I relocated to Edenton, N. C. from the Raleigh area. I have moved to a part-time practice, largely consulting with hospitals in the Tidewater Virginia area. Prior to that I have over thirty years of experience working in government agencies,  corporations, small businesses, schools and universities as a corporate crisis interventionist, mental health provider, trainer, and speaker. In private practice since 2003.  With over 600 deployments to corporate crisis situations, hundreds of satisfied private clients, and group training assignments, I have acquired a great deal of knowledge and expertise about managing crisis in both the personal lives of my clients and in the workplace, from restoring calm in the midst of confusion and chaos, comforting and providing compassionate psychological first aid to those exposed to sudden death, violence, grief and loss, surviving the suicide of a loved one, and providing relief for those struggling with job loss and chronic illness. There is little I've not seen or heard. Most recently there has been a particular emphasis on how crisis such as shootings, natural disaster, economic downturns, and other tragic events affect the workplace. Through the years I have been interviewed hundreds of times on radio, television, and in newspapers and magazines, including writing for Simon and Schuster's Christian self-help market.
